2 suspects wanted in early morning shooting in Hamilton, Ontario

Two suspects are wanted after shots were fired this morning in Hamilton.

Hamilton Police say the incident took place shortly after 5 a.m. near 155 Market Street in the City’s downtown area.

According to police, gunshots were heard and two suspects were reportedly seen fleeing on foot.

Officers say they found evidence of a shooting but did not specify what was discovered or if it included shell casings.

Luckily, no injuries were reported as a result of the shooting.

Though images of the suspects are currently unavailable, investigators have gathered descriptions of the two individuals they are searching for.

Suspect #1: The suspect is described as a Black man, 6-foot-2, with a stocky build. He was wearing a baby blue jumpsuit with matching baby blue Nike shoes.

Suspect#2: The suspect is described as a white man with a thin build. He is a couple of inches shorter than the first suspect and was wearing blue sandals.

Hamilton Police will be in the area today, canvassing and collecting evidence.

Residents in the area are asked to review their security camera footage from 4:30 a.m. to 5:15 a.m. for any suspicious activity. Drivers with dash camera footage from that time are also urged to contact the police.
