Two Hamilton men charged in Stoney Creek shooting incident

Ontario Hamilton Stoney Creek Police shooting arrest charges

Two Hamilton men have been charged in connection with a shooting incident earlier this year in Stoney Creek.

At approximately 6:30 p.m. on January 16, 2024, shots rang out in the area of King Street West and Wardrope Avenue. While no injuries were reported, the stray bullets struck several vehicles and buildings, alarming residents in the community.

A following Hamilton police investigation has resulted in the arrests of two individuals.

Alexander Carnicelli, 29, of Hamilton has been charged with:

  • Assault with a weapon
  • Three counts of possession of firearm contrary to order
  • Discharge firearm with intent
  • Conspiracy to commit an indictable offence
  • Four counts of fail to comply with probation
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Possession of a prohibited firearm

Eathan Gustin-Grolleman, 29, Hamilton has been charged with:

  • Assault with a weapon
  • Three counts of possession of firearm contrary to order
  • Discharge firearm with intent
  • Reckless discharge of a firearm
  • Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle
  • Failure to stop after an accident
  • Operation of a motor vehicle while prohibited
  • Possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000
  • Conspiracy to commit an indictable offence
  • Fail to comply with probation order
  • Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Possession of a prohibited firearm

Both men are in custody on unrelated matters.
