UPDATE: 83-year-old missing man from Hamilton known to frequent local bars

Update: At 9:20 p.m. on Sunday (June 2), Hamilton Police said 83-year-old Krzysztof Sroczynski was found safe. Thanks to the community for their assistance during the search. He was ultimately located in the Mount Albion trail system by the Hamilton Fire Department.

Hamilton Police are seeking the public’s help in safely locating a missing 83-year-old and bringing him home.

Police say Krzysztof Sroczynski was last seen yesterday around 3 p.m., near Limeridge Road East and Upper Ottawa Street in Hamilton.

Investigators describe Sroczynski as being six feet tall and having a heavy build. He has short, grey-brown hair. He was last seen wearing a grey hoodie, dark pants, a green or grey baseball hat, and black boots.

Authorities say Sroczynski is known to frequent local bars, and his family reports that his cognitive ability has recently been in decline, although he has not been formally diagnosed.

Police request that Limeridge Road East and Upper Ottawa Street residents check their garages and outbuildings for Sroczynski.
